Lucky Winner to Win Home in HGTV Green Home Giveaway

As part of the new green design philosophy that has taken homebuilding by storm in recent years, HGTV launched an annual giveaway known as the HGTV Green Home Giveaway.  2012 will be the fifth annual Green Home Giveaway, in which one lucky fan will be chosen at random as the winner.

The winner of the 2012 Green Home Giveaway gets a beautiful and custom-designed environmentally friendly home.  The home is located in Serenbe, a community in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia just outside of Atlanta.  The 2,300 square-foot home comes fully furnished, and the winner will also receive a $100,000 cash price and a 2012 GMC Terrain.

HGTV is excited about this year’s contest.  “The 2012 HGTV Green Home highlights a new dimension of green living that we haven’t showcased with our previous homes,” said Kathleen Finch, general manager, HGTV.  “We want our viewers to discover how they can live harmoniously with nature but still have a connection to contemporary architecture and the latest in eco-friendly products and practices.  It’s amazing to find a home in a community as forward thinking and beautiful as Serenbe just minutes away from one of the most fabulous cities in the U.S.”

HGTV Green Home Giveaway 2012 opens for entries on April 12.  Entries will be accepted through Friday, June 1, at 5 p.m. ET.  Fan can submit one entry per day on HGTV.com as well as one per day on HGTVRemodels.com, but there is no limit on the number of entries other than the daily limit at these two sites.
